But let us introduce ourselves to you:
Our chapter is situated in the South-West of Germany (close to Stuttgart) and home to approximately 590.000 inhabitants. Furthermore, Stuttgart is the sixth largest city in Germany and the nation's fourth largest conurbation and home to many world widely renowned German companies, such as DaimlerChrysler, Porsche and Bosch.
However, our chapter stretches in the sourrounding countryside of Stuttgart with the neighbouring communities like Esslingen, Goeppingen, Fellbach, Waiblingen, Winnenden, Backnang, Schorndorf and Schwaebisch Gmuend. And as a part of the international AFS orgnization, we are cooperating with all other chapters in Germany.
The non-profit educational organizations AFS Interkulturelle Begenungen e.V., Deutsches Youth for Understanding Komitee e.V., Experiment e.V. and Partnership International e.V. have compiled and established quality related criteria in order to ensure an appropriate and fair conduct of youth exchange.
